Pats Cast Episode 14: Patriots Acquire WR Isaiah Ford from the Dolphins

Ahead of Tuesday's NFL Trade Deadline, the Patriots traded for wide receiver Isaiah Ford from the Miami Dolphins. In exchange, they gave up a seventh-round pick in 2022, which could become a sixth-rounder if certain performance-based conditions are met.

Since Isaiah Ford and I went to college together, this pickup means more to me than it otherwise would. However, it's also an opportunity for me to show what he's capable of as a player – not just what he's done since entering the NFL.

I will publish a more in-depth, film-centric analysis of Ford later this week. But for now, here are my thoughts on New England's newest receiver – and likely new starter in the slot.
